Taliesha Harris
Australian singer-songwriter
Country • folk • acoustic
Taliesha Harris is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician from Central West Queensland, blending country, folk and acoustic influences with honest storytelling and a distinctly regional perspective. A Bachelor of Music graduate and experienced live performer, Taliesha has spent years performing across a wide range of settings while developing her own voice as a songwriter. Her original music draws on people, places and lived experience, pairing thoughtful storytelling with strong melodies and an unmistakably Australian sense of place.
DEBUT SINGLE │Riverina Sand
Out Now
Riverina Sand grew from Taliesha’s love of the Akubra “Riverina” hat in Sand and curiosity about the woman who might wear it. With humour and a distinctly Australian sense of place, the song imagines an older woman’s younger days as a ringer and the stories she still carries.
Driven by acoustic guitar and Taliesha’s storytelling vocal, the song draws on the country and folk traditions at the heart of her writing. It has already begun finding an audience through live performances in Western Queensland, including a live performance on ABC Western Queensland Radio.
